I’m running for School Trustee because I care deeply about students, public education and the communities that make up SD62 (Sooke).
I want to bring a wealth of experience.
I’ve spent 25 years working in our school district—as a teacher, vice-principal, principal and District Principal of Indigenous Education. I’ve also experienced our schools as a student, parent, PAC volunteer and now grandparent.
I want to bring a thoughtful, independent voice.
As a first-time trustee candidate, I will bring an open mind, relevant experience and a willingness to learn. I will listen carefully, consider different perspectives and make decisions based on what I believe will best serve students and our communities.
I want to advocate for students and our communities.
SD62 (Sooke) is growing and changing. Our schools need resources and planning that keep pace with the needs of students and the communities they serve. I want to make sure the voices of students, families, educators and staff are heard.
